Firing Detail Volunteers Needed for Albert J Henson Military Burial Service

WHO: Marine Corps League volunteers for a Firing Detail in honor of Seacoast Detachment 394 Marine Albert Henson. Obituary for Marine Henson is attached. WHAT: Perform final fitting tributes for a veteran Marine and longtime member of the Marine Corps League.
WHEN: Saturday, 9 Nov 2024 at 1100 (Firing Detail, participants/ attendees need to be present NLT 1030).
WHERE: Village Cemetery, 453 Main Street, Fremont, NH 03044.
WHY: To honor the service and sacrifices of a Marine Veteran and longtime Marine Corps League member.
SITUATION: On order perform a professionally executed firing detail to honor the service of Seacoast Detachment Marine Corps League member Albert Henson who died on 31 Oct 2024.
MISSION: Provide appropriate and fitting tributes in memory of Seacoast Detachment Marine Corps League member Albert Henson at the interment site Village Cemetery, Fremont, NH in direct support of Brewitt Funeral Home and the Henson family.
EXECUTION: Form up at the Assembly Area graveside Village Cemetery Fremont, NH for issuance of ceremonial firearms and rehearsals; perform a well executed firing detail in coordination with Brewitt Funeral Home; conduct a brass police call immediately after the ceremony; return ceremonial firearms to weapons custodian for further transport to storage site. Be prepared for inclement weather alternate plans and/or cancellation of the firing detail.
ADMIN AND LOGISTICS: Uniform is long sleeve undress uniform (includes black tie), white ceremonial duty belt, white gloves, red satin jacket (for participants) appropriate civilian attire with MCL cover (for attendees); assemble per direction in Execution paragraph above at already identified location; conduct brass police call immediately following ceremony; return firearms to weapons custodian.
COMMAND AND SIGNAL: All commands are by voice. Point of main effort for Memorial Service is Brewitt Funeral Home and Seacoast Det 394; NCOIC for Firing Detail is TBD; notify Seacoast Det Adjutant geoffrey.corson.usmc.ret@gmail.com NLT Friday, 8 Nov 2024 of your availability to support. Follow up emails will be sent if needed. This formation is open to all Department of NH Marine Corps League members. Regret short fuse.
