Harold "Hank" Page, USMC (Ret) and Seacoast MCL Detachment Life Member passed 10 January 2024

Marine in full uniform with several service medals.

Harold J. (Hank) Page Jr, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at his longtime home in Dover. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 23, 1934, in Rollinsford, NH, Harold was the son of the late Harold Sr. and Alma (Labrecque) Page. Following graduation from Dover High School, class of 1952, Hank went on to serve honorably in the US Marines from 1952 – 1960, 2 years active duty serving on the USS Wright during the Korean War.

After leaving the Marines, Harold and Beatrice met and were married on May 18, 1957. Children soon followed with Anne Marie being born in 1958 and Donna 11 months later in 1959. Son, Paul was born in 1960 and youngest daughter, Joanie in 1963. Nothing was more important to Hank than his family. He and Bea worked hard to provide for them and had long careers at their employers to ensure this. Hank worked for the Public Service Company of New Hampshire for over 35 years. The Page household was a great place to grow because of the dedication to family and love from Hank and Bea.

After retiring, Hank enjoyed Church activities and daily mass and prayer, volunteer work, horseback riding, going out to breakfast with and without Bea, all while continuing to provide love and support to his children and their children. Hank had a great love for his country and the values from the Marine Corps never left him. After 9/11, Hank joined the Marine Corps League and became a Pease Greeter to serve his country by supporting our troops as they deployed for and returned from duty. Hank and some of his colleagues were recognized for their efforts in the spring of 2008 with an invitation to the White House to meet with President George W. Bush, who thanked them for their continuing service and support. This was one of the highlights of his life.

Hank will be remembered for his warm greetings to friends and family alike (always a smile and happy to see you) and always parting with a joke or something to make you laugh.

Time and various illness caught up with Hank in his late 80’s, but they never caught up to his spirit, his love of his family and of his country. It was a life well lived. He will be missed. We encourage all his family and friends to honor his memory with a smile, a warm greeting and laughter to the friends and family in your lives as you see them.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Sr. Page and Alma (Lebrecque) Page.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 66 years, Beatrice Page; children, Anne Marie Ramos and her partner Greg Barnes of Sanford ME, Donna Chouinard and her partner Jim Berry of Dover NH, Paul Page and his fiancé Paula Kimball of Enfield NH, Joan Seawards and her husband Rich of Rollinsford, NH; 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Hank will be on Monday, January 22, 2023 from 4 PM – 6 PM at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave, Dover, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday, January 23 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Church – Rollinsford, 411 Church St, Rollinsford, NH 03869.
